China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I), established on July 1, 1999, is an ultra-large state-owned enterprise. Under AVIC I, there are 47 large and medium-sized manufacturing facilities, 31 research and development institutes, 22 affiliated specialized companies and institutions, the total employment is 240,000 and total assets 100 billion RMB. ¡¡AVIC I develops, manufactures and markets the following product categories: military aircraft, commercial aircraft, aero-engine, air-borne equipment, weaponry and fire control systems. The yaeronautical products are: fighter, fighter-bomber, bomber, tanker, transport, trainer, and reconnaissance aircraft. The aircraft in production: fighter: F-7 series, F-8 series; fighter-bomber: FBC-1 series; bomber: B-6; trainer: FT-7, BT-5. Aircraft engines: WP-6 (turbo jet) series, WP-7 (turbo jet) series, WP-13 (turbojet) series, Kunlun series, Qinling series and etc. Air-to-airmissiles: PL-5 series and PL-8 series. The air-borne equipmentcan meet the requirements of the AVIC I aircraft projects. Commercialaircraft: there are medium-and- short-range transport Y-7, itsderivatives and MA60. Currently, there are multi-role light fighter¡°Xiaolong¡± (FC-1), and advanced trainer aircraft ¡°Shanying¡± indevelopment. The advanced regional jet ARJ21 is now in developmentproduction. The non-aeronautical products are industrial gas turbine,automobile, motorcycle, machinery, materials, IT product, refrigeration and environmental protection product, totally in seven categories with over 10,000 products. AVIC I also involves in aircraft leasing, general prospecting, designing and contracting and property development. Formed within AVIC I, Chinese Aeronautical Establishment (CAE),has made great amount of remarkable achievements in the past decades.CAE, authorized by the State, manages national flight test centerand test centers for aerial vehicle. CAE is strong in scientific and technologic capabilities, full-range disciplines and advanced aeronautical scientific and technological development and test facilities.
