SHINE ON YOUR CRAZY IMAGINATION The new S2 shingled module takes the original shingled module to a whole new level. We enhanced the product in several ways including reducing the operating current far lower than that of conventional PV and half-cell modules with extremely low internal loss, improving the design structure which increases the power density, increasing the internal conversion efficiency to 20.8%, and maximum power to 440W.

The new S2 shingled module takes the original shingled module to a whole new level. We enhanced the product in several ways including reducing the operating current far lower than that of conventional PV and half-cell modules with extremely low internal loss, improving the design structure which increases the power density, increasing the internal conversion efficiency to 20.8%, and maximum power to 440W.
ENHANCED RELIABILITY AND DURABILITY
The new S2 shingled module is composed of one-sixth laser-cut 158.75mm cells. By splitting cells, the smaller currents will help reduce “Cell to Module” loss, resulting in higher power outputs. No ribbon soldering brings lower internal resistance, enhances overall toughness, reduces the probability of cracking, and avoids the impact of metal corrosion. The busbar-free design also completely avoids the shielding of ribbon, thereby increasing the utilization of sunlight.
BETTER SHADING PERFORMANCE
Apart from the series circuit of standard modules and parallel circuit of original shingled modules, new S2 shingled module divides the module into three separated solar cell arrays. When a certain part is damaged or shaded, the other parts will still function. Thus, when a module is shaded, the affected areas will be impacted less - further reducing the effects of shadow and enhancing the self-protection mechanism of the module.
