CSR ERQI CO., LTD. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSR Corporation Limited, which is a major industry in charge of manufacturing multiple types of railways freight wagons, maintaining and manufacturing spare parts and is the main researcher and developer for dual-purpose flat wagon, container flat wagon, double-deck wagon for transporting cars and special flat wagon in China and is also the main supplier for railway open top wagon and flat wagon.

The company is located in Southwest rings, Fengtai District, Beijing, adjacent to the famous LuGou Bridge - Wanping Park Scenic and Ninth China International Garden Exposition, north of Fengtai West Park of Zhongguancun Science Park. The company is convenient in transportation, Metro Line 14, the Beijing-Shijiazhuang high-speed rail, and new Beijing-Zhoukoudian road intersect here and the location is superior.

The company was founded in 1897, is the oldest company of CSR, and is the cradle of industry civilization of the capital city of Beijing, the high-tech enterprises of the national high-tech enterprises in Zhongguancun Science Park and National Hi-tech enterprise. The company formerly known as Qing Paul Lu Postal Department LuGou Bridge railway depot, it was named as Ministry of Railways Changxindian railway factory in December 1948. In October 1958, the North branch was set up mainly for overhauling trucks and foundry business; it renamed Beijing Feb. 7th Locomotive and Railway Wagon Factory in September 1966. In January 1980, the factory was divided into Ministry of Railways Beijing Feb. 7th Locomotives Factory and Beijing Feb. 7th Railway Wagon Factory, and in February 1994 the latter was renamed Beijing Feb. 7th Rolling Stock Factory. In March 2003, it’s name was changed to CSR Beijing Feb. 7th Rolling Stock Company, In January 2008, it was named as CSR Erqi Co., Ltd.

So far, the company has more than 2900 employees, and among them, there are 92 senior engineers and 12 professor level senior engineers. The company has five winners of New Century Talents Project national talent, the State Council special allowance, Zhan Tianyou Award and Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Award.

CSR ERQI covers an industrial land area of over 600,000 square meters. The fixed net assets is 420 million Yuan, with 1864 (sets) various types of production equipment.

The company has an annual capacity of producing 4000 freight wagons and overhauling 8000 wagons, at the same time it has an annual capacity of manufacturing 20000 units of MT and HM type draft gear, 60000 units of crossing and bracing device, 30000 new type brake beam and 200,000 bearing plastic steel retainer. Under meeting the domestic market demand for railway wagons, the whole wagon and spare parts are exported to Asia, Africa and Europe and other overseas markets.

The company is using Pro/E software for 3D design and structural strength, kinematics and dynamics simulation analysis in comprehensive product development, has capabilities of machining, welding, pressure processing and casting process simulation, owns vehicles strength test room, the impacting test line, bogie parameter test bench, drop hammer test and a variety of experimental research tools. The company has the Beijing pilot patented certificate. Technology Center is a Municipal Enterprise’s Technology Center.

The main products of the company include: container special flat wagon series: X70£¬X2K(H)-the Chinese first generation double-deck container flat wagon£¬triplet articulated double-deck container wagon, high speed container flat wagon creating test speed with 180km/h under empty condition and 220km/h under loaded condition; double-deck special wagon for transporting cars: SQ5 which can load the most cars (10-12 unit cars for each wagon), SQ6 which can load the highest car (both the top and bottom layer can transport car with max. height 1980mm), articulated double-deck special wagon for transporting cars which can realize straddle mounting between wagons, and ordinary double-deck wagon for transporting cars; dual purpose flat wagon series: the Chinese first generation NX70 dual purpose flat wagon, new structure 80t dual purpose flat wagon; special purpose wagon series: flexiwaggon brought in and cooperated with Sweden, DL1 special wagon for transporting large-tonnage precast bridge girder.

The 160km/h high speed railway wagon bogie, 30t axle load bogie, YQ30 pneumohydraulic buffer, C-shaped combined sealing ring and LBC-3 active lubricating brake cylinder testify the company’s significant achievements in key aspects of railway wagon technology research.

The company has passed the certification of ISO9001, IRIS Management System and EN15085 Welding System, and constructed perfect supplier management, product quality guarantee and after-sales service system. In 2011, the company was rated first class enterprise in the former Ministry of Railways organized railway wagon repairing quality assurance capability audit evaluation.
