Jiangsu Sea-lion Machinery Group (Corp.) (hereinafter referred to as “Sea-Lion Group”), founded in 1970,
is one of the earliest manufacturers of commercial washing machines in China. With a land area of 95,000m2, a construction area of 69,000m2 and fixed assets of 280 million yuan, the Group realizes an annual production
capacity of 12,000 sets, annual sales of 380 million yuan, and annual export value of 8 million US dollars. It has accumulated a wealth of experience in R&D and production of washing machines. Now it becomes the largest-scale professional manufacturer with the widest range of varieties as “Sea-Lion” washing machines in eight series, 18 varieties, and 80 specifications. In 2008, “Sea-Lion” trademark was identified as Chinese Well-known Trademark,
and Sea-Lion Group was the first one in the industry to enjoy such a reputation.
Over the past four decades, Sea-Lion Group, adhering to the strategy of “people orientation and technological innovation”, has constantly been developing new products with its own intellectual property rights. The Group has already possessed 52 patents, including 9 patents of invention, and 21 patents pending. The owning amount of proprietary technologies accounts for 90% of the total in the same trade, and that of patents of invention reaches 100%. Among the total 606 employees, 70% are technicians, and 38 technicians have attained senior professional titles, and 158, intermediate titles. All products are designed by use of CAD systems and 3D dynamics simulation systems, fundamentally guaranteeing the advanced product design. Since 1980, the Group has originated China's
first fully-automatic washer-extractor, fully-automatic dry washer, and automatic ironing machine. In 1999, it successfully developed XGQ-200F fully-automatic industrial washer with the largest capacity all over the country,
and became one of the few manufacturers capable of producing large-capacity washing machines in the world.
Since its inception, Sea-Lion Group has successively been identified as a state-level key high-tech enterprise, a designated manufacturer of washing machines by the Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army and the former Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry, a designated manufacturer of tourism products, and also a member unit of China Tourist Hotels Association. “Sea-Lion” products have won more than 100 awards and honors such as the National Excellent Quality Award (Silver Medal Award), China-made Competitive Product Award,
National Key New Product Award, and the First Prize of Product Quality Detection of the domestic same trade.
Sea-Lion Group possesses a number of large-scale acid pickling and phosphating equipment, automatic spraying production lines, as well as advanced technological and processing equipment, such as, the BYSTRONIC3015/1.8 laser cutting machine (Switzerland), the PEGA-304050Q CNC multi-stage punch (Japan AMADA), the PSG100/3000 CNC bending machine (Italy), the CO3006 CNC shearing machine (Italy), the HL1500 automatic longitudinal seam welding machine with thin-walled cylinder (France), the HCT2500×2500 automatic circle seam welding machine (France), the HB1000 automatic welding positioner (France), and the PHOENIC high-speed CNC flame cutting machine (Germany). Its overall level of technology and equipment leads the same trade domestically.
Sea-Lion Group implements perfect quality inspection. In its test center of 4000m2, modern laboratories have
been set up and outfitted with testing equipment such as tensile testing machines, impact testing machines, dynamic balancing machines, salt spray test systems, and a full set of type test equipment, realizing the quality monitoring
from the introduction of raw materials to the delivery of whole appliance, and thus effectively ensuring the product quality. All machines of the Group are produced in compliance with national and ministerial standards, and also UL standards in terms of safety. Sea-Lion took the lead in the domestic counterparts to pass the certification of ISO9000 Quality Management System in 1997, and the review of ISO9001-2000 Quality Assurance System in January 2004. Sea-Lion products have also passed the security certifications of CE and ETL, and got the “permit” to the European Union and the North America. In recent years, the Group has registered a double-digit export growth.
The Group has a perfect sales network, a sound after-sales service system, and 38 offices nationwide, providing all-around services for domestic and foreign customers. Sea-Lion products have been widely used by over 10,000 foreign-related hotels, restaurants, railways, hospitals, agencies and institutions such as Zhongnanhai, the Great
Hall of the People, the Military Commission of the CPC Central Committee, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC, Beijing Continental Grand Hotel, and Grand Hyatt Shanghai,
enjoying a high reputation and popularity in Chinese tourist hotels and related washing and dyeing industries. The products are also exported to more than 60 countries and regions like the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Japan, Spain, Belgium, South Africa, New Zealand, Russia, Malaysia, and Cuba.
