China Poly Group Corporation (Poly Group) is a large state-owned enterprise under the supervision and administration of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). It was founded in February 1992 with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Committee on the basis of its predecessor, Poly Technologies, Inc. founded in January 1984. It was registered with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce in Feb. 1993. In March 1999, Poly Group was transferred from the supervision of PLA to Central Large SOEs Administration Committee and became a state-owned enterprise. It was transferred to the supervision of SASAC in 2003.In 2010, the military-related business of China New Era (Group) Corporation is merged into China Poly Group Corporation.

Over the past 27 years, Poly Group has established a developing pattern featuring “simultaneous development of five industries”, namely, military and civilian trade and business, real estate development, culture and arts business, investment and exploitation in mineral resource field as well as civilian explosive materials and blasting service. By 2010, the total assets of the group has reached RMB 234.1 billion Yuan.

Its subsidiaries include: Poly Technologies Inc., Poly Southern Group Co., Ltd., Poly (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited, Poly Culture Group Co., Ltd., Poly Energies Holding Ltd., Poly Finance Co., Ltd., China Xinshidai Company and Poly Explosives Group Co., Ltd. Under Poly Group, there are two listed companies: Poly Real Estate (Group) Co. Ltd. (ticker symbol SH600048) registered in shanghai and Poly (Hong Kong) Investment Limited (ticker symbol HK0119) registered in Hong Kong. The subsidiaries and projects of these two flagship companies are scattered in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and etc. It has also established a couple of overseas subsidiaries and offices.
