Pinggao Group Co.,Ltd(hereiaffer referred to as PG) is a wholy-owned subsidiary corporation of China Electric Power Equipment and Technology Co., Ltd.,located in Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, China.PG, firstly named as Pingdingshan High Voltage Switchgear Factory established in 1970, is the largest base of researching, developing and manufacturing high voltage, extra-high voltage and ultra-high voltage switchgears in China, also is the important technical equipment pillar enterprise in the state electrical industry. It is the first hi-tech company of high voltage switchgear industry certificated by Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Science; Technology, and has been listed among Chinese top 10 electrical corporations.

    The business scope of PG covers the R&D, design, manufacture, sales and testing of transmission and transformation equipments, with the related equipments set, service and project contract. The core business is the R&D, manufacture, sales and service of high voltage, extra-high voltage and ultra-high voltage switchgears. Our main products consist of 7 types of products with a total kinds of more than 120: 40.5 kV ~1100kV GIS; 40.5 kV ~1100kV SF6 Circuit Breaker, Disconnector and Earthing Switch; 40.5kV ~ 252kV COMPASS; 10kV ~ 40.5kV Vacuum Circuit Breaker, Electrical Switchgear in Set and Switchgear for Railway Electrification; Transformer, Arrester, Hydraulic/Spring Mechanism, Composite Insulator, and SF6 gas releasing & recovery devices applied in power transmission and transformation system.

    With the total occupation of 1150,000 m2 and a building area of 430,000 m2, there are 4 branches and 14 exclusively-owned or shareholding subsidiaries in PG, among which, Pinggao Electric Co., Ltd is a public company; Henan Pinggao Toshiba HV Switchgear Co., Ltd and Pinggao Yaskawa Switch Apparatus Co., Ltd. are Sino-Japan joint ventures. PG at present employs a staff of 7695, among which more than 800 are engineers.

    PG has set up a state-level R&D center with strong capability of research, development and technical innovation. It has been in possession of the world-class ultra-high voltage intelligent production plant and 1695 sets of worldwide advanced production facilities such as machining equipment, insulating component production line, automatic sliver-coating line, enclosure making and painting line, sealing ring & gasket making line, etc. 1100kv GIS,developed and manufactured firstly by PG, has been successfully put into operation in the 1100kv Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen AC ultra-high voltage line,which is the first million volts transmission and transformation line in China.

    PG’s products have been not only widely used and highly recommended in China,but also exported to more than 30 countries and areas in Southeast Asia, Middle East,Africa,South America and Europe etc. Besides the direct export and export agency, PG also has contracted the turnkey project of 10 GIS substations in Syria and projects of complete set in Vietnam and completed them successfully.

    Since February 9,2010,PG has officially become a member of State Grid Corporation of China,which will ensure a new departure for future progress of PG.
