Combined with keyless Go System, the STO (Smart Trunk Opener) system enables intelligent open the trunk without hand contact. So as to the user can free hands and use the car much more coveniently

STO is based on capacitive sensing. From the rear bumper two antennas to the floor, this area have the formation of capacitance , and the foot kick action caused the changes in capacitance capacity. A preset capacitance waveform will be used as a valid input action.

The STO system measures the change in the capacitance of the trunk antenna area of the vehicle as a signal input.The two antennas are installed at two positions of the bumper.The sensing antenna 1 is responsible for detecting a change in capacitance between the antenna and a human leg.The sensing antenna 2 is responsible for detecting a change in

capacitance between the antenna and a human foot.Detection distance: within 15cm from the feet and legs to the antenna.After the ACC is turned on, the ACC will turn off the power of the ECU, and the trunk will not be opened while driving.
