Overview of Good Performance Rotary Cooler

The Good Performance Rotary Cooler is also named the rotary drum cooler or monocular cooler which is used with the drying equipment for the compound fertilizer production to cool fertilizers with certain temperature and particle size. The rotary cooler can increase the cooling efficiency, reduce the labor strength, increase the productivity, remove the moisture of the materials and lower the temperature of the compound fertilizer. In addition, rotary drum cooler is also used to cool other powder and particle materials. The rotary cooler has the advantages of compact structure, high efficiency, reliable performance and good adaptability.

Working principle of Good Performance Rotary Cooler

1. The wet materials that need to be dried are lifted to the material hopper via the belt conveyor or the bucket elevator and then enter the charging port via the charging pipe.

2. The charging pipe’s inclination needs to be larger than the natural dip angle of the materials so that the materials can flow to the cooler smoothly.

3. The cooler cylinder of rotary drum cooler is a rotating one inclined compared with the horizontal line. Materials are fed from the top end and the heat carrying agent flows out from the bottom end by meeting materials with countercurrent contact. In some case, the heat carrying agent will flow into the cylinder with the materials.

4. As the cylinder rotates, materials run to the bottom end affected by the gravity action. When wet materials move forward inside the cylinder, they receive the heat from the heat carrying agent and then get cooled. Then they are sent out via the belt conveyor or the screw conveyor.

There is a shoveling plate installed on the inner wall of the cylinder which can lift and cast materials in order to make them touch the air flow completely, increase the cooling efficiency and promote the materials to move forward. The main cooling agent is the cold air. After passing the rotary drum cooler, the heat carrying agent will collect the air and the materials with the help of cyclone dust collector. If we need to reduce the dust content in the tail gas, we will use the bag filter or the wet dust catcher to handle the air and then emit it.
