Incorporated on March 14, 2003, Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy Group is a large-sized power engineering enterprise engaging in design, construction and operation of natural gas power plants, hydroelectric power stations, new energy sourced power plants and heat & power co-production power plants. With its special technical expertise in distributed power generation through micro-network operation, currently it is the only professional EPC contractor to build power plant projects with distributed power generation through micro-network operation in China, the only power engineering enterprise who provides integrated service of design and engineering management as a whole, and also the only public company in China that is in possession of national certified EPC qualifications in power engineering.
Since Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy Group was incorporated, it has contracted many projects for power plant construction such as self-supply power station of Fushun Xinfugang Co., Ltd., power station of Zhejiang Shanying Comprehensive Utilization Power Generation Co., Ltd, the revenues in 2008 reaches RMB1.8 billion. Through the application of the distributed power supply and micro-power network operation technology in all these projects, Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy Group has initiated DG operation in China as a pioneer.
- On 14th Mar. 2003, Mr. Lu Jinxiang established Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy Group Co., Ltd.
- In May 2003, Liaonig Hi-Tech Energy Group invested to build Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy-saving and Thermoelectricity Research Institute, which symbolizes the establishment of the first EPC contractor with joint forces of power design & engineering in China’s power engineering market.
- On 15th May 2003, Liaoning Hi-Tech signed the first EPC contract for an enterprise customer’s self-supply power plant with heat & power co-production through DG operation.
- On 20th Jun. 2003, Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy Group signed the first EPC contract for a public facility power project with co-supply of electricity & heat and through DG operation.
- On 25th Mar. 2004, Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy Group completed its first enterprise customer’s self-supply power plant with heat & power co-production through DG operation and delivered to the customer.
- In June 2004, the group acquired the EPC contractor license for power engineering.
- In Oct. 2004, the group passed the ISO9001 Quality System Certification, ISO14001 Environment Management System Certification and OHM18000 Vocation Health and Safety Management Certification.
- On 20th Dec. 2004, Liaoning Hi-Tech completed the first EPC contract for a public facility power project with co-supply of electricity & heat through DG operation and delivered to the owner.
- In June 2005, the group signed cooperation research agreement with Chinese Academy of Sciences Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, which emblematizes the further development into the renewable energy field.
- In Aug. 2005, the group obtained Qualification Certificate issued by PRC government to undertake Foreign Projects.
- In Sep. 2005, the group signed research cooperation agreement with Tsinghua University to set up the first institute of distributed power supply and micro-power network, which emblematizes group’ s technical development transferring from KNOW-HOW to INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY and also the establishment of the leadership position of the group in the distributed power supply and micro-power network field.
- In Oct. 2005, the group passed the ISO9001 Quality System Certification, ISO14001 Environment Management System Certification and OHM18000 Vocation Health and Safety Management Certification.
- In December 2005, the design institute obtained B level certified qualification for power engineering project design.
- In December 2005, the group completed a self-supply DG power plant with heat & power co-production for a cement company located in southern China’s Zhejiang province and delivered to the customer’s use. This project leads to an expansion of company’s business into the southern part of China.
- In Aug. 2006, Liaoning Hi-Tech became exclusively foreign-owned enterprise with a foreign investment structure.
- In Dec. 2006, the group signed a contract for a heat & power co-production public power plant, with a single unit capacity of 200MW, which symbolizes a new progress in group’s power design and engineering technology.
- In August 2007, the group purchased Liaoning International Construction Engineering Corporation LTD.
- In October 2007, the group passed ISO9001 Quality System Certification, ISO14001 Environment Management System Certification and OHMS18000 Vocation Health and Safety Management Certification.
- On 22th January 2008, A-Power received approval to list on the NASDAQ Capital Market and its stock began trading on NASDAQ .
- On 18th July 2008, Liaoning Hi-tech Energy Group Co., Ltd. Entered into an EPC contract for building 150MW PP9 biomass Power Plant with Thailand Biomass Power Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Thailand AA company), with the expected project period of 29 months and contract value of US$ 77 million dollars. Meanwhile also signed a EPC contract with Thailand national power supply company for building 150MW PP10 biomass power plant, which makes a total contract value of US $152 million dollars for these 2 projects. These steps symbolizes the company’s entry into international market.
- On 27th Oct. 2008, the group signed a cooperation agreement with Middle & South China Power Design Research Institute, who is a member of China Power Engineering Consultants Group.
- In October 2008, the group passed ISO9001 Quality System Certification, ISO14001 Environment Management System Certification and OHMS18000 Vocation Health and Safety Management Certification.
- On 11th Jan. 2009, A-Power signed agreement with Germany Fuhrlaender AG company to establish Fuhrlaender Wind Power Technology ( Shenyang) Co., Ltd. As wind power equipments manufacturing and R&D base in Asia.
- On 11th Jan. 2009, A-Power and GE transportation decided to joingly invest in building the largest wind turbine gearbox production facility of Asia in Shenyang High & New Technology Development Zone.
- On 11th Jan. 2009, A-Power and Norwin jointly assemble and sell 225Kw & 750KW wind turbines and components. Currently, the parties have reached cooperation intent and will built a R&D center in Shenyang developing new types of wind power generation system.
- On 12th May 2009 Shenyang Power Group was established, which is controlled by Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy Group and with a registered capital totaling RMB 1 billion yuan, among which 60% contributed by Liaoning Hi-Tech Energy Group in equivalence of RMB 600 million yuan, 20% in equivalence of RMB 200 million yuan contributed by Shenyang Darui Investment Management Company who is representing Shenyang municipal government and RMB 100 million yuan injected by Shenyang municipal government as free subsidy. The main business scope covers: energy and power equipments, boilers for large-size power plants, generator, high/medium/low voltage valves, mining equipments, wires & cables, electricity network lines, and etc.; As EPC contractor to undertake power, electric, mining projects both at home and abroad.
