On July 28, 2024, Premier Li Qiang and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni jointly attended the opening ceremony of The 7th Meeting of Business Forum Italy-China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and delivered speeches. Over 150 entrepreneurs from both countries were in attendance. Minister of Commerce of China Wang Wentao, presided over the opening ceremony. Prior to the ceremony, the two Prime Ministers took a group photo with representatives of Chinese and Italian entrepreneurs. The meeting was co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, and organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, the Italian Trade Commission, and Confindustria.
